Voice Tubes should be changed with each user or every 3 months to reduce the amount of germs for hygiene purposes. The population of germs and bacteria can include E.coli, Streptococcus, Salmonella & Staphylococcus aureus, all potentially dangerous and contagious organisms.
Plantronics offers voice tubes and noise cancelling microphones for use with their line of professional call centre headsets. Plantronics engineers have tested the acoustical properties of voice tubes in various call centre environments and have found that they deliver a great many advantages.
The unique design of the Plantronics voice tube uses an omnidirectional microphone. Consequently, the voice tube is able to pick up the user's voice when it is positioned almost anywhere near the mouth.
