BT - Internet radio DescriptionThis unique product from BT allows you to listen to internet radio stations and your music around your home without the need for your personal computer to be on. .This portable music player connects to the internet via your wireless internet connecion (so the only requirement is to have access to wireless internet in your home or office) and it gives you access to thousands of stations, with two built in speakers providing stereo sound. The device is completely portable so you can carry the radio around your home - as long as you're within range of your internet connect then you'll be able to listen to your favourite online radio stations as well as music stored on your PC or Mac. The device also ties in with your favourite music stations that you store on your PC, as well as music that you have stored on your machine, so you can also access your favourite tracks throughout your home. With a press of one button you can pull up your favourite radio station, or use the tuning dial to browse through the stations on offer. It's easy to move around your own personal music library (on your PC).
The radio is easy to operate, as a blue screen on the front provides you with details of the current radio station, and a series of buttons on the top of the device allow you to change the settings. There's also a built in alarm clock
For wireless compatibility the BT internet radio is WEP and WPA compatible - these are the two main types of security offered on wireless networks, which means that this product is compatible with nearly all wireless routers and hubs on the market. Connecting is easy, even if you use the device outside on a network outside of your home (on a friends, for example, or even at work) it takes just one button press to scan for your nearest network, and one more to connect.
